Neuroscientists at the University of Sunderland are working on an infrared helmet that they believe could halt and possibly reverse the effects of Alzheimers. Researchers have discovered that a safe exposure to infrared light can improve learning and cognitive functioning of the brain. It is possible that the infrared light will not only halt Alzheimers but may actually reverse it. Human trials are scheduled to begin soon.
